Sprinter Miles Outerbridge has delivered an impressive performance representing Montverde Academy at the Florida High School Athletic Association (FHSAA) State Track & Field Championships, held at the UNF-Hodges Stadium in Jacksonville, Florida. Outerbridge showcased his speed and talent, securing two silver medals in the highly competitive varsity boys' sprint events.
In the Varsity Boys 100m Dash, Outerbridge blazed across the finish line to claim second place, clocking a time of 10.68 seconds. He demonstrated his explosive power and acceleration against some of the top high school sprinters in the state.
Outerbridge followed up this strong showing with another silver medal in the Varsity Boys 200m Dash. He once again displayed his impressive speed and endurance, stopping the clock in 21.12 seconds. To secure two second-place finishes in these blue-riband sprint events at such a prestigious state championship is a significant achievement for the young Bermudian athlete.
Adding to his busy schedule at the championships, Outerbridge also played a crucial role for the Montverde Academy Boys' 4 x 400 Relay team. Running the third leg, he contributed to their overall time of 3 minutes and 26.17 seconds, which saw the team finish in 16th place in a competitive field.
