The announcement came from the league office on Monday, with Franklin Pierce University putting forward a trio of their top student-athletes for the annual honors.
Outerbridge, a senior standout in men's cross country and track & field for Franklin Pierce, is joined by women's soccer senior defender Aino Martikainen and women's golf star Kesinee Prukmathakul as the university's nominees for the coveted awards.
Outerbridge concludes his collegiate career with a remarkable list of accolades spanning cross country, indoor, and outdoor track. His achievements include breaking the Franklin Pierce school record in the outdoor mile, earning All-Region honors from the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA), and being selected as an At-large participant for the NCAA Cross Country Championship.
His dominance was particularly evident at the 2025 NE10 Indoor Championships, where he was named both the Men's Outstanding Track Athlete and the Overall Most Valuable Performer after securing victory in the men's mile and finishing a strong third in the 800 meters. Outerbridge continued his stellar form into the outdoor season, claiming victories in both the steeplechase and the 10,000 meters at the 2025 NE10 Outdoor Championships, further solidifying his reputation as a top collegiate athlete.
The NE10 Man and Woman of the Year awards celebrate the pinnacle of athletic and academic excellence within the conference. The winners for 2024 will be announced at the annual NE10 Awards Banquet, scheduled to take place on Tuesday, June 3, at Fratello's Events in Manchester, New Hampshire. Outerbridge's nomination is a well-deserved recognition of his exceptional talent and dedication throughout his time at Franklin Pierce University.
