Luke Fulton and his Repton School 1st XI teammates faced Derbyshire Under 18s once again in another friendly Twenty20 encounter, but this time they fell to a narrow three-wicket defeat.
Having won the toss and elected to bat first, Repton's innings struggled to gain momentum. They were eventually bowled out for a modest total of 71. Joseph Lowe top-scored with 16 runs, while Fulton contributed 3 before his dismissal. Tom Lane was the standout performer with the ball for Derbyshire Under 18s, delivering an exceptional spell of four overs without conceding a single run and taking four wickets (4-0-0-4).
In reply, Derbyshire Under 18s chased down the target, reaching 72 for the loss of seven wickets in 18 overs. Rehan Azam led the way for Derbyshire with an unbeaten 17. Fulton impressed with the ball for Repton, picking up two wickets for just 10 runs in his two overs (2-0-10-2), but it ultimately wasn't enough to prevent Derbyshire from securing the victory.
