The Ministry of Public Works and Environment advises the public of upcoming traffic control related to a Road Running event taking place on Sunday, April 13th, 2025.
The event is the RenaissanceRe MAAC 5-Mile and 10-Mile Races, which will occur between 7:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m.
The 10-Mile race commences at the South Gate of the Botanical Gardens on South Road. The participants continued east along South Road to the turnaround location just after the junction of Paynter's Road and South Road. They return to the finish line at the Lagoon Property opposite the South Gate of the Botanical Gardens on South Road.
The 5-Mile race commences at the South Gate of the Botanical Gardens on South Road. The participants continue East along South Road to the turnaround location at the West Carpark Entrance of Spittal Pond. They return to the finish line at the Lagoon Property opposite the South Gate of the Botanical Gardens on South Road.
The races will commence on Sunday, April 13th, 2025, at 7:30 am and are expected to conclude by 11:00 am.
Race Marshals and Police Officers will be present to direct traffic. All motorists are expected to use caution and avoid collisions with the race participants. Motorists are asked to follow the instructions given by the Race Marshals and Police Officers to assist with traffic control for this event.
There will be no road closures for this event.

In addition, the Bermuda police are hereby authorized to "Close off'' streets or portions of streets and authorize parking as the Commissioner of Police decides.
