Bermuda Under-14 Girls’ National Team head coach Don Vickers has named the 20 players who will represent Bermuda in Antigua & Barbuda, for 2023 CFU Girls Under 14 Challenge Series.
The tournament will see the twenty teams divided into two tiers (Tier I & II) with 14 national teams from around the Caribbean competing in Tier II while six (6) teams will battle in Tier I for the coveted Challenge Series trophy.
“This year’s CFU U14 Challenge Series will be a great opportunity to expose these fantastic young ladies to international football. This is a young team, but they have come a long way and we are excited to see how they will compete at the international level,” Vickers says of his team as they prepare to travel to Antigua and Barbuda for the tournament.
The 14 national teams in Tier II include Anguilla (AIA) Antigua and Barbuda (ATG), Barbados (BRB), Bermuda (BER), Bonaire (BOE), Curaçao (CUW), Dominica (DMA), Grenada (GRN), Guadeloupe (GLP), Martinique (MTQ), Saint Kitts and Nevis (SKN), Saint Lucia (LCA), Saint Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG), and U.S. Virgin Islands (VIR).
Bermuda was drawn in Group B, which is a Tier II group, and will face off against, the tournament host, Antigua and Barbuda, Barbados, and Bonaire.
