Newport won the toss and elected to bat, they would score 268/6 in their allotted 40 overs, Scotland led the batting with a knock of 69 which came off 56 balls, he hit 8 fours and 2 sixes, Scotland shared a 81-run first wicket partnership with Mansoor Tariq, before he was the first to go. Matthew Williams was the pick of the Usk bowlers with figures of 7-0-65-2.
In reply Usk were bowled out for 168, Oliver Robson was the top scorer with 40, while Mujeid Ilyas was the pick of the Newport bowlers with figures of 5-0-30-5, Scotland had a stumping.
