On Friday, June 16th, 2023, Francis Patton Primary School will host a 5K Fun Run/Walk at 6 pm. (Walkers – 6 pm/Runners-6:30 pm)
The 5K is in honor of Ms. Florence Sharpe, who will be retiring at the end of June. This is event concludes the week-long celebrations at the school for the well-loved educator.
Sharpe first began teaching at Francis Patton Primary School in 1987 as a classroom teacher. Later in her career, she became the Physical Education and Arts Education teacher.
The race will begin at Francis Patton School field. Registration is $10 for adults and $5 for children under 12 years old. Please call the school office to register (478-3303) or on the day of the race on the school field. T-Shirts are available for $25 but are limited.
A more formal celebration will be held in the form of a banquet to honor Sharpe on Saturday, June 24th at 6 pm. Tickets are available at the school office.
We welcome all Francis Patton Alumni, former staff, friends, and family to come and celebrate Ms. Sharpe’s Retirement.
