The Trunk Island Swim took place this morning in the Harrington Sound with some 90+ swimmers entering the event. Swimmers of all ages took on the 3 1/4 mile course, John Legge swam side by side with Mike Cash for the entire course as both swimmers broke away from the field at the two minute mark, only Eleanor Gardner was able to stay with the two, Gardner stayed on the heels of the leaders through the first 10 minutes. The leaders then found themselves under pressure as Gardner pulled along side them, but Legge was able to use his kick to leave both Cash and Gardner behind.
