Bahamas Looking to Move Up
The Bahamas Cricket Association (BCA) has named a 14-man squad to contest the International Cricket Council (ICC) Pepsi Americas Division 2 tournament in Bahamas next month.

The squad for the Feb. 1st -7th tournament is headed by Sri Lanka-born all-rounder Narendra Ekanayake, who captained the Bahamians in the 2008 Stanford Twenty20 tournament in Antigua.

Former national Under-19 captain Marc Taylor and the experienced Jamaica-born Dwight Weakley are also in the squad.

Other teams contesting the one-week tournament that will be looking to advance to the Pepsi Americas Division 1 tournament to face Bermuda will be Suriname, Turks & Caicos Islands, Brazil, Belize and Panama, the games will be played at both Haynes Oval and Windsor Park –

BAHAMAS SQUAD: Narendra Ekanayake, Dwight Weakley, Howard Roye, Marc Taylor, Gregory Taylor Jr., Ashmeied Allie, Ryan Tappin, Johnathan Barry, Gary Armstrong, Jermaine Adderley, Akbert Peters, Lee Melville, Gregory Irvin, Renford Davson.
