With the RIO Olympic Games fast approaching the FEI Olympic Athletes Rankings has been finalized and published.
Currently Bermuda’s Patrick Nisbett is ranked 2,407th with Farah Van Klapscheut, while Jillian Terceira is ranked 2,846th with Lakvels.
As it currently stands the FEI’s confirmation of Bermuda’s current positioning in relation to RIO:
If one of the qualified countries from Group D or E do not use their qualified individual quota, i.e. COL, VEN, URU, or PER then the spot will be awarded to the next NOC of Group D or E at the 2015 Pan Am Games. After review of the scores Bermuda officials knew that the two countries that are next in line are Bermuda and the Dominican Republic.
The FEI has confirmed that Bermuda is 2nd reserve through the Pan American Games and that the Dominican Republic is first reserve. Bermuda is tied for points with the Dominican Republic because of the results in Round B of the Final competition however the combined result of Dominican Republic in the first three qualifying competitions is 15 whereas for Bermuda the combined result is 34.
