Bermuda’s Jillian Terceira was fortunate that her flight from Brussels to Faro, Portugal was @6:15am on Monday just one day prior to the horrific suicide attacks in the Belgian capital that killed more than 30 people and injured at least 260 others.
Terceira had been in Belgium for a few days before heading back to Portugal to continue competing on the Vilamoura Atlantic Tour.
Terceira said, “I received calls and messages as people knew I was going to Belgium, but they did not know when I was returning to Portugal.”
Terceira had to quickly get her attention back to business and the first week of the second tour turned out fantastic!
Super-fast Amarulla placed 2nd, 2nd & 6th in the Medium Tour, the Duke of Somerset was clear in the medium tour & clear in the Small Grand Prix.
The Young horses continue jumping clear rounds & placing, Terceira will return to Belgium with all of her horses on April 4th.
