Peters and Connecticut Fall to Bowdoin College

Caelin Peters and his Connecticut College Men's Basketball teammates played host to the Bowdoin College Polar Bears and fell by a 76-72 decision at the Charles B. Luce Fieldhouse.

After falling behind by double digits midway through the opening period, Connecticut College rallied, and a buzzer-beating fadeaway from sophomore forward David Murray seemed to give the hosts a favorable momentum swing going into the half, although taking a 36 - 9 deficit into the locker room.

Trailing by nine with under a minute to go, Connecticut College’s resilience was once again put to the test, and with two quick scores the deficit quickly narrowed. With no choice but to foul, Connecticut College put the fate of the game in the hands of the Bowdoin College free throw shooters who managed to protect the lead just enough to keep the game out of Connecticut College’s grasp.

With time expiring, freshman guard Cam Schainfeld banked home a deep three pointer. However, Connecticut College’s 43 - 40 advantage in the second half was not enough to overcome Bowdoin's strong play in the opening period, as the visitors held on to earn a 76-72 win.

Peters who started played a total of 19 minutes going 1 for 4 from the field which was a 3-pointer, he also grabbed 1 rebound.
