Adam Hall and his Aberdeen IronBirds Minor League Baseball teammates started a bit slow following several rainouts, but they got their bats going picking up an 8 – 3 win in the series opener against the Hickory Crawdads the High-A affiliate of the Texas Rangers.
Hickory went ahead in the top of the 3rd inning with a single run, but in the bottom half of the inning, Aberdeen scored twice.
Hickory would answer with 2 runs in the top of the 4th, but once again Aberdeen would take the lead scoring 3 times to take a 5 – 3 lead.
After two scoreless innings, Aberdeen would score 3 times in the 7th inning to extend their lead to 8 – 3, and that is how it would end.
Hall went 0 for 3 from the plate, with a Walk and a Strike Out.
