Hall & Delmarva Fall to West Virginia Power

Adam Hall and his Delmarva Shorebirds teammates got a taste of their own medicine as the West Virginia Power rose from the mat with a four-run seventh inning to stun the Shorebirds 4-2 on at Arthur W. Perdue Stadium.

Trailing 2-0 heading into the seventh, the Power used some two out magic to surge ahead for good. With one away, Onil Pena reached on an error and then moved to second on a Mike Salvatore base hit to right. A flyout to right allowed both runners to tag and move into scoring position, which prompted a pitching for Delmarva, which brought on Ruben Garcia. Ryan Ramiz greeted Garcia with an infield single, scoring Pena and pushing Salvatore to third to make it a 2-1 game. Matt Sanders then dunked an RBI single into shallow left center field to tie the game at 2-2. Julio Rodriguez came up next and vaulted West Virginia in front as he laced a two-run double to right center, giving the Power a 4-2 they would not relinquish.

Hall went 2-for-3, his 40th multi-hit game of the season for the Shorebirds.
