Bermudian driver Kiwon Waldron returned to the winner’s circle at Harrah’s Hoosier Park for the second time in a matter of days, marking his first start as the owner of Fox Valley Starlet with an emphatic pace victory in Indiana.
Waldron capped off the evening card in style during Race 10, producing a well-timed drive from the sulky to steer Fox Valley Starlet across the wire in 1:54.1.
The triumph carried extra significance for the talented driver, arriving on the pacer's very first outing under his outright ownership.
It proved a night of mixed fortunes across the card for Waldron, who opened proceedings earlier in Race 1 aboard Odds On Candy.
Contesting an equally brisk pace event, Waldron and Odds On Candy stopped the clock in 1:54.4, having to settle for seventh in a tightly bunched field.
However, Waldron quickly turned the evening around in Race 10, judging the fractions to perfection down the Hoosier Park stretch to hold off late challengers and seal another trip to the winner's enclosure on the North American circuit.
