Bahamian equestrian administrator Catherine Ramsingh-Pierre has been elected President of the Caribbean Equestrian Association (CEA) for the 2026–2028 term, taking over the reins from Bermuda’s Heidi Mello.
Her appointment marks a significant milestone for Bahamian sport, placing another of the nation's administrators into a prominent regional leadership position.
Ramsingh-Pierre steps into the role with a mandate to drive youth development, expand grassroots participation, and strengthen competition pathways across member federations throughout the region.
She succeeds Mello, whose tenure at the helm of the CEA was defined by sustained regional collaboration and bolstering the visibility of equestrian disciplines across the Caribbean.
Under Ramsingh-Pierre’s leadership, the governing body is set to target enhanced cross-island coordination, focusing on junior development leagues, regional dressage, and jumping circuits over the next two years.
