Spectators were treated to an avalanche of offence at the PCC Hockey Rink as a Bermuda Inline Ball Hockey double-header produced 23 goals across two pulsating encounters.
Matthew Benson delivered the standout individual performance of the evening, burying four goals to propel Rev Auto Rippers to an 8-6 triumph over Jingles Jawbreakers, following Mason's Pylons' narrow 5-4 victory over McKee Swizzle Magnets in the opener.
The opening contest proved a tightly contested affair, with Mason's Pylons relying on a balanced attack to edge McKee Swizzle Magnets 5-4.
Five different scorers found the target for the Pylons, as Louis Sujir, Mathieu Desjardins, Ryan Bates, Matt MacPhail, and Bruce Sinclair each struck once.
The Magnets pushed them right to the wire behind a two-goal salvo from Shawn McKee, alongside solitary markers from Alexandre Larouche and Craig Rowat, but the Pylons held firm in the closing minutes to secure the points.
The evening's second fixture delivered even more fireworks, with Rev Auto Rippers outgunning Jingles Jawbreakers in a breathless 14-goal shootout.
Benson proved virtually uncontainable, leading the charge with a clinical four-goal display. Bill Calko provided vital offensive support with a brace, while Robert Osbourne and Tommy Miller chipped in with a goal apiece to complete the Rippers' eight-goal tally.
The Jawbreakers refused to go quietly, spearheading a ferocious counter-attack led by Kyle Hankins’ hat-trick and a double from Hart Freedman. Matthew Ingleman also added a single marker, but the Rippers’ firepower ultimately proved decisive.
