Bermudian infielder Adam Hall drove in two runs as part of a relentless collective batting display by the Winnipeg Goldeyes, who swept past the Kansas City Monarchs 11-6 at Blue Cross Park.
Every single member of Winnipeg’s nine-man batting order recorded at least one hit in a dominant offensive outing, led by right fielder Max Murphy’s three-hit, two-RBI performance.
Hall enjoyed another productive night at the plate, going 2-for-5 with a double, two RBIs, and a run scored as the Goldeyes controlled the contest from the early frames.
Kansas City drew first blood in the top of the first inning when Austin Callahan belted a two-run homer to right field following Tyler Gentry’s leadoff double.
Winnipeg responded emphatically in the bottom of the second. Consecutive singles from Raphaël Pelletier and Murphy set the table for Roby Enríquez, who lined a two-run double to level the scores at 2-2. Peyton Holt followed with an RBI single to put the hosts ahead 3-2.
The Goldeyes stretched their advantage in the third when Ray-Patrick Didder singled and scored on Noah Marcelo’s triple, before Murphy led off the fourth with a double and crossed the plate on Holt’s sacrifice fly to make it 5-2.
After Kansas City cut the deficit to 5-3 in the fifth, Ramón Bramasco doubled and scored on another Marcelo two-bagger to restore Winnipeg’s three-run cushion.
Hall sparked the offense in the bottom of the sixth, cracking a sharp double after a Holt single, which allowed Bramasco to lift a sacrifice fly to make it 7-3.
The hosts blew the contest wide open with a three-run seventh. Following three consecutive walks to load the bases, Murphy drove in a run with a groundout before Hall stepped up to deliver the big blow—lining a two-run single to centre field to score Pelletier and Keshawn Lynch, blowing the scoreline out to 10-3.
Murphy added an RBI single in the eighth to cap Winnipeg's 11-run tally before J.D. Davis drove in two late consolation runs for the Monarchs in the ninth.
