Hall Helps Winnipeg Goldeyes Win Big
Adam Hall played a starring role as the Winnipeg Goldeyes scored six unanswered runs in the late innings to mount a 6-2 comeback victory over the Sioux City Explorers on Sunday afternoon.

In front of a crowd of 6,825 at Blue Cross Park, the Goldeyes salvaged the series finale behind a relentless 15-hit offensive display, overturning an early two-run deficit to snap Sioux City's winning run.

Hall was pivotal at the plate, finishing 3-for-5 with an RBI and two stolen bases as Winnipeg's bats came alive over the final three frames.

Explorers seize early initiative

Sioux City struck first in the opening inning when Henry George launched a solo home run to right field.

The visitors extended their lead to 2-0 in the fourth after Alberto Osuna singled and D’Shawn Knowles doubled, allowing Jackson Van De Brake to drive in Osuna with a sacrifice fly to centre field.

Goldeyes surge late

Winnipeg began their response in the bottom of the sixth. Jiandido Tromp drew a lead-off walk, moved to second on a Raphaël Pelletier sacrifice bunt, and was driven home by a Max Murphy RBI single to right to cut the deficit to 2-1.

The decisive blow came in a three-run seventh inning. Ramón Bramasco walked, stole second, and scored on Noah

Marcelo’s game-tying double to left. Keshawn Lynch followed immediately with an RBI triple to right to hand the Goldeyes their first lead, before Pelletier brought Lynch home with an RBI single to stretch the advantage to 4-2.

Winnipeg added crucial insurance in the eighth. Murphy led off with a double before Ray-Patrick Didder doubled him home. Hall then delivered the final blow of the afternoon, lining an RBI single to right field to score Didder and seal a 6-2 triumph.

Strong bullpen closure

Starting left-hander Kevin Vaupel delivered a solid quality start for the hosts, conceding two runs on four hits across six innings while striking out five. Relievers James Colyer, Eli Saul, and Derrick Cherry combined to toss three scoreless frames to shut the door.

Sioux City starter Zach Willeman was tagged with the loss after surrendering three runs on 10 hits over 6 1/3 innings.

Murphy paced the Winnipeg line-up alongside Hall, going 4-for-5 with two doubles, while Bramasco reached base in all five plate appearances with two hits and three walks.
