Adam Hall produced a standout performance at the plate, driving in five runs to propel the Winnipeg Goldeyes to an 11-4 victory over the Sioux Falls Canaries at Blue Cross Park.
Hall finished a stellar night three-for-four, racking up a double, a sacrifice fly, and a towering three-run home run down the left-field line to headline a dominant offensive display by the hosts.
The Goldeyes drew first blood in the third inning when shortstop Ray-Patrick Didder walked and second baseman Ramón Bramasco singled, allowing Hall to lift a sacrifice fly to right field to edge Winnipeg ahead 2-1.
Didder extended the advantage in the fifth with a solo home run to left field, before Hall doubled to centre and crossed the plate on Noah Marcelo’s single up the middle to make it 6-2.
Winnipeg kept the scoreboard ticking in the seventh as Didder and Bramasco drew back-to-back walks, setting up Hall to line an RBI single into centre field to push the cushion to 7-4.
The Goldeyes then put the result beyond doubt with a decisive four-run surge in the eighth inning. After Murphy doubled and scored on a wild pitch, Didder and Bramasco set the table once again with consecutive singles.
Stepping up to the plate with two runners aboard, Hall crushed a three-run shot down the left-field line, sealing an 11-4 triumph and capping a brilliant individual outing.
