Second baseman Adam Hall hit a dramatic go-ahead two-run home run with two outs in the bottom of the eighth inning, lifting the Winnipeg Goldeyes to a 7-6 victory over the Lincoln Saltdogs at Blue Cross Park.
The infielder was instrumental in extending Winnipeg's winning streak to eight games, delivering a standout 3-for-4 performance at the plate while driving in two runs and scoring once.
The victory keeps the Goldeyes moving upward in the standings, improving their record to 35-31 on the season.
Trailing 6-5 with pinch-runner Raphaël Pelletier positioned at first base, Hall stepped up in the bottom of the eighth to deliver the decisive blow.
Facing Saltdogs right-hander Zac McCleve, Hall drove a 0-1 pitch deep over the left-field wall to flip the score and give Winnipeg a late 7-6 advantage.
The home run capped off a superb afternoon for Hall, who anchored the Goldeyes' offense through a tight, back-and-forth contest to seal the sweep.
