Fifteen-year-old Logan Flood enjoyed a breakthrough performance at the prestigious Tryon International Summer Series in North Carolina, collecting two reserve championship titles across consecutive weeks of competition.
Competing against an international field, Flood faced the added challenge of riding unfamiliar horses during the opening week, partnering Zero to Sixty and Capricho.
It proved no obstacle for the young Bermudian, who excelled in the 1.10m Junior Jumper Division aboard Capricho. A series of faultless rounds saw her claim one victory and two third-place finishes from a field of 21 competitors, earning the Reserve Championship through consistent performances across the week.
Flood carried that momentum into the second week, stepping up to the more demanding 1.20m Junior Jumper Division — a height she had never previously contested in competition.
Once again riding Capricho, she delivered another impressive display, securing two podium finishes from three classes, including a first-place finish and a third. The results were enough to secure a second consecutive Reserve Championship, underlining her rapid progress at the international event.
The two-week competition also provided Flood with valuable experience competing at a higher level against strong opposition, while working under the guidance of Wendy Arndt and Team IEC.
Her performances at one of North America's leading summer show jumping events mark another significant milestone in the development of one of Bermuda's promising young equestrian talents.
