Bermudian Harness racing driver Kiwon Waldron enjoyed a spectacular and profitable night at Harrah’s Hoosier Park in Indiana, commanding a busy five-race card across both trotting and pacing divisions. The highlight of the evening came in the seventh race, where Waldron orchestrated a tactical masterpiece to land a brilliant victory.
Steering Tellit Candy in the Pace Class, Waldron executed a flawless drive to hit the front and dominate the mile. The pair crossed the line first in a blistering time of one minute, fifty-five and four-fifths seconds, securing a commanding win and continuing Waldron's excellent momentum on the North American circuit.
The Bermudian driver came agonizingly close to securing further silverware, picking up two resilient third-place podium finishes later in the program. In the eighth race Pace Class, Waldron guided Tell Shows The Way to a fighting third-place finish, stopping the clock in a flat one minute, fifty-six seconds. He repeated the podium feat in the tenth race Trot Class, showcasing immense composure in the sulky of Johnny Broad to claim another third place in one minute, fifty-seven and one-fifth seconds.
The rest of the card provided a stern test of endurance and tracking for the island driver. Waldron began his evening in the second race Trot Class behind Deliteful Steven, finishing fifth in one minute, fifty-nine and two-fifths seconds. He followed that up with an eighth-place finish in the third race Trot Class with Ima Mess, crossing the wire in two minutes and one-fifth of a second. Despite the mixed fortunes in the opening frames, Waldron’s victory and dual podium finishes wrapped up a highly successful evening under the lights.
