The Winnipeg Goldeyes have announced the significant signing of Canadian outfielder Adam Hall, bringing the former MLB draft pick back to Blue Cross Park for the 2026 campaign.
Hall, 26, is a familiar face in Winnipeg, having briefly suited up for the Goldeyes in 2024 before his contract was purchased by the Milwaukee Brewers. His return follows a stint in the high-pressure environments of Double-A and Triple-A, where he continued to demonstrate the elite speed that has defined his career.
“Bringing Adam back is huge news for us,” said Goldeyes skipper Logan Watkins. “He got off to a hot start with us two years ago before being picked up, and we believe he can bring that same impact again in 2026. We know he’s motivated to put together a successful, healthy season.”
The signing comes at a time when Hall’s stock is at an all-time high following his exploits on the world stage. He recently represented Team Canada at the World Baseball Classic, playing a pivotal role as the national side made history by reaching the quarter-finals for the first time.
Hall’s journey to the professional ranks is a storied one. Born in Hamilton, Bermuda, he relocated to Ontario as a youth to pursue the sport, eventually becoming a second-round pick for the Baltimore Orioles in 2017. He spent six seasons in the Orioles' system, reaching as high as Triple-A with the Norfolk Tides.
During his most recent season within the Brewers' organization, Hall split time between the Biloxi Shuckers and the Nashville Sounds. While his power numbers remained steady, it was his efficiency on the basepaths that stood out, successfully stealing 25 bases while being caught only once.
Hall becomes the fifth Canadian on a diverse Goldeyes roster that already features Landen Bourassa, James Bradwell, Mason Dobie, and T.J. Schofield-Sam.
In a secondary move, the Goldeyes confirmed that right-handed pitcher Ben Kowalski has been traded to the Kane County Cougars for a player to be named later. Kowalski impressed during his professional debut in Winnipeg last season, posting a 3-1 record with a 3.58 ERA.
With spring training having commenced on May 3rd, Winnipeg now has 24 players under contract as they refine their squad for the upcoming American Association season.
