The Michael Preece Softball Diamond played host to a clinical offensive display, as the Paraquet Flyers cruised to a comprehensive 15-4 victory over the Hood Kings.
In a match defined by aggressive baserunning and clinical hitting, nineteen runs crossed the plate in a contest that showcased the widening gap between the two sides in the current standings.
The Flyers' offense was spearheaded by a relentless performance from Luis Adom. Proving almost impossible to retire, Adom went three-for-four from the plate, driving in four runs to anchor the Paraquet attack. His ability to find the gaps in the Kings' outfield consistently turned the lineup over, ensuring the scoreboard remained in constant motion.
Despite the lopsided scoreline, the Hood Kings found moments of resistance through the bat of Abigail Kempe. While the Flyers' pitching staff largely contained the Kings' threat, Kempe managed to produce a spark, finishing one-for-three on the night. Her standout moment came with a well-struck double that brought home two runners, providing a brief silver lining for the chasing side.
However, the Flyers' defensive solidity and Adom's run-scoring prowess proved too much to overcome. The 15-4 result serves as a statement of intent for Paraquet, who move forward with significant momentum, while the Hood Kings are left to regroup before their next outing at the Michael Preece Diamond.
