Bermudian equestrian standout Cody Rego has continued his impressive development on the world stage this week, producing a composed performance at the prestigious 2026 Winter Equestrian Festival in Wellington, Florida. Competing during the Week 6 CSI3 WCHR IDA Development week, the young rider showcased exceptional form across multiple categories, cementing his reputation as one of the region's most promising talents.
Rego’s first major success came in the 1.10m Schooling Jumper event. Competing under Table II conditions, which reward precision and clear rounds, Rego partnered with the horse Lego to deliver a masterclass in efficiency. The pair navigated the course flawlessly, stopping the clock in a two-clear round time of 63.761 seconds to secure first place in a competitive field.
The winning momentum carried directly into the 1.0m Training Jumper division. Riding Cartel PS, Rego once again demonstrated his technical skill and composure under pressure. Navigating the obstacles with ease, the duo recorded another faultless performance, crossing the finish line with a two-clear round time of 68.362 seconds. The result marked Rego’s second top-of-the-podium finish of the week, highlighting his consistency and the growing strength of his partnership with multiple horses at the elite Florida venue.
As the Winter Equestrian Festival continues to draw the world’s best riders, Rego’s dual victories provide a significant boost to his international campaign. The young Bermudian remains a figure to watch as he continues to climb the ranks of the professional circuit during the season's remaining weeks.
