Kayla Bardgett and her Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) Equestrian teammates have extended their dominant start to the season, securing their third-straight Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA) Regular Season Event victory in Odessa, Florida.
SCAD faced a challenging field of 13 colleges but maintained their perfect record, being crowned the Champions with a total of 39 points. This puts the Bees in a commanding early position in the regional standings.
The University of Tampa performed strongly to finish as Reserve Champion with 33 points, marking them as the closest challenger to the SCAD powerhouse.
Senior Kayla Bardgett continued to be a crucial point-scorer in the highest level of competition. Demonstrating her consistency, Bardgett finished fifth in the highly competitive Open Flat Division. Her performance ensures that SCAD maintains a reliable presence at the top of the leaderboard in the elite classes.
The three consecutive wins solidify SCAD's status as the team to beat as the IHSA season progresses.
