The Bermuda Softball League Fall League season witnessed an extraordinary offensive display, with the BGA Hammers hitting a massive 30 runs in a single game to headline a night of high-scoring action at the Michael Preece Softball Diamond.
BGA Hammers' Record Offensive Night
The most dominant performance came from the BGA Hammers, who overwhelmed the BMA Enforcers with a stunning 30-2 victory. The Hammers' bats were relentless, scoring runs almost at will. Zeko Burgess led the charge, going a perfect 3 for 3 from the plate, including a home run, and drove in a phenomenal seven RBIs to propel his team to the monumental win. Josh Allen had a respectable night for the Enforcers, going 2 for 2 with a double and two RBIs, but the BGA Hammers were simply unstoppable.
Moongate Brewers and ASRE Maintain Dominance
Two more dominant victories were recorded by top contenders. The Moongate Brewers cruised to a commanding 17-2 win over the King Beachers. Jaylynn Hines was the star for the Brewers, going 3 for 4 with a home run and driving in five RBIs. For the Beachers, Tory Richard managed a home run and two RBIs on a 2 for 3 night, but their team could not match the Brewers' firepower. Similarly, ASRE Performance delivered a comprehensive 19-1 defeat to Hakuna Matata. Jorge Lopez anchored the ASRE offense, going 3 for 4 with four RBIs. Kevin Miller provided the lone bright spot for Hakuna Matata with a home run and an RBI.
Runners and Power Deliver Victories
In other competitive fixtures: Plantano Power defeated the Paraquet Flyers 17-9. Henry Llanes had a perfect 5 for 5 night for the winners, hitting two doubles, a home run, and collecting three RBIs. The Flyers’ Edgar Guerrero matched the power with two home runs and four RBIs on a 3 for 3 night. The Raggamuffins secured a solid 13-7 win over the Southampton Rangers. John Payne went 3 for 5 with a home run and four RBIs for the Raggamuffins, while Shrye Tavares matched his RBI tally for the Rangers, going 3 for 4 with a home run.
One Hit Wonders Post Shutout
In a standout defensive effort, the One Hit Wonders secured the only shutout of the evening, defeating the Rainbows 12-0. Nathan Samuels provided the offense for the Wonders, going 3 for 3 with a double, a home run, and three RBIs.
The league continues to deliver incredible scoring spectacles, with the BGA Hammers' offensive explosion setting a new high mark for the season.
