Adam Hall has been transferred to the 60-day injured list by the Biloxi Shuckers, a move that will likely end his season in Double-A. The extent of the injury remains unknown, but the transfer indicates a significant blow to both the player and his team.
The news comes as a major setback for the Bermuda born player, who had been a key contributor for the Shuckers. Since re-joining the team, Hall had featured in 32 games, becoming a consistent presence both at the plate and on the basepaths. In 102 at-bats, he had posted a respectable .245 batting average with 25 hits and 15 runs scored. His ability to get on base was a particular highlight, boasting a .350 on-base percentage.
Hall’s speed was also a major asset, with 13 stolen bases making him a constant threat to opposing teams. With 10 runs batted in and five doubles, he was a productive and versatile player for the Biloxi offence.
The Biloxi Shuckers will now have to adjust their lineup as they look to close out the season without one of their key contributors.
