Bermuda's campaign in the singles competition at the XXVI Pan American Squash Championship came to a close on Day Two, as both Sydney Wallace and Noah Browne were defeated in their respective Round of 16 matches in Rio de Janeiro.
After a strong showing on the opening day, Wallace was unable to replicate her form in the Women's Singles Main Draw. She went down in straight games to Margot Prow of Barbados, losing 11-5, 11-6, 11-0.
In the Men's Singles Parallel Division, Noah Browne also faced a tough challenge in his Round of 16 match. He was defeated in straight games by Argentina's Miguel Pujol, with the final score reading 11-3, 11-6, 11-6.
With both players now eliminated from the singles competition, the Bermudian team will now shift its focus to the upcoming doubles and team events, where they will look to make their mark on the championship.
