Squash player Taylor Carrick has been defeated in the second round of the $12,000 Men's Life Time Clemens Johns Creek Open.
The number six seed, who recently secured a Gold Medal at the Island Games and is using the tournament as a crucial part of his preparations for the 2025 Pan American Squash Championships, had a first-round bye.
In the second round, Carrick faced Mateo Restrepo from Colombia. In a hard-fought battle that lasted 33 minutes, Carrick was defeated in straight sets, with the score finishing 11-6, 11-9, 11-9.
Despite the result, the tournament provided valuable match experience against high-quality opposition as Carrick continues to fine-tune his game ahead of the Pan American Championships.
