Adam Hall and his Biloxi Shuckers teammates battled hard but ultimately fell 6-4 to the Birmingham Barons at Keesler Federal Park. The Shuckers, the Double-A affiliate of the Milwaukee Brewers, mounted a late comeback but saw their rally fall short for the second straight day against the Barons.
Hall's evening saw him active at the plate and on the bases. He led off the bottom of the second and fourth innings with strikeouts and hit a fly ball for the third out in the sixth. However, in the bottom of the ninth, with the Shuckers pushing for a comeback, Hall grounded into a force out, but reached first base safely. The rally continued as Garrett Spain singled, advancing Hall to second. Bladimir Restituyo then singled, moving Hall to third, setting the stage for Luis Lara's double, which allowed Hall to score a crucial run.
The series between the Biloxi Shuckers and the Birmingham Barons is set to resume at Keesler Federal Park on Thursday, with first pitch scheduled for 6:35 p.m. local time. The Shuckers will be looking to bounce back and gain momentum in the series.
