The Bermuda Softball Association playoffs delivered another action-packed evening, with a double-header at the Michael Preece Softball Diamond producing a total of 38 runs in the knockout stages.
In the opening game, Team Smokey secured a convincing 13-7 victory over the Pitch Invaders. Gerald Simons was the undisputed star for Team Smokey, delivering an outstanding performance at the plate. He went 3 for 4, including a triple, a home run, and a remarkable six RBIs, leading his team to a comfortable win. For the Pitch Invaders, Kontai Fox contributed with a home run and two RBIs from his 1 for 3 outing, but it wasn't enough to stem Team Smokey's scoring.
The nightcap saw the Western Stars Angels defeat the Rainbows by a score of 11-7. Debbie DeShields was the offensive powerhouse for the Western Stars Angels, going a perfect 3 for 3 from the plate. Her impressive night included a double, a triple, and four RBIs. For the Rainbows, Jade Weaver also had a strong performance, going 3 for 4 with two doubles and three RBIs, but her team ultimately fell short.
