Adam Hall and his Biloxi Shuckers teammates continued their formidable home form on Saturday night, clinching their sixth consecutive home series win with a 6-4 victory over the Pensacola Blue Wahoos at Keesler Federal Park.
The win further solidifies the Shuckers' Double-A-best home record, which now stands at an impressive 27 wins and 11 losses. They have been particularly dominant recently, securing victories in 15 of their last 18 games played at home.
Hall, while not recording a hit in the win, contributed to the Shuckers' offensive efforts by getting on base. In the bottom of the second inning, he struck out swinging. However, he drew a walk in the bottom of the fourth, demonstrating his plate discipline.
In the bottom of the fifth, Hall grounded into a force out. Later, in the bottom of the seventh, he drew another walk. He then advanced to second base when Garrett Spain grounded out to first, and further moved to third on Jheremy Vargas's line out to right field, but was ultimately left stranded on base.
Hall's ability to draw walks and advance on the base paths, even without a hit, played a part in the Shuckers' victory, which extended their impressive run of form at Keesler Federal Park. The Shuckers will look to carry this momentum into their next series.
