Team Smokey Dominates, Oddballs & Rainbows Edge Thrillers

The Bermuda Softball League playoffs continued its thrilling knockout actionat the Michael Preece Softball Diamond, delivering a mix of dominant performances and nail-biting finishes.

In the opening game of the evening, Team Smokey delivered a commanding display, overwhelming the Pitch Invaders with a decisive 23-6 victory. Garic Swainson was the offensive powerhouse for Team Smokey, going 2 for 3 from the plate with two home runs and a remarkable six RBIs. For the Pitch Invaders, Kontoi Fox contributed with four RBIs from his 1 for 2 outing, but his team was unable to match Team Smokey's relentless hitting.

The second match of the night provided a much tighter affair, as the Oddballs edged out Bat & Bougie in a thrilling 13-12 contest. Adam Fenos was a key figure for the Oddballs, going 2 for 5 from the plate with two home runs and three RBIs. Bat & Bougie's Matthew Hayward also had a strong night, going 3 for 5 with a double, a home run, and five RBIs, but his team ultimately fell just short.

The final game of the night was the closest of all, with the Rainbows narrowly edging the Angels by a single run, 8-7. Tiffany Milne went 2 for 4 from the plate with one RBI for the victorious Rainbows. For the Angels, Rickelle Smith contributed with one RBI from her 1 for 2 at-bats in a hard-fought encounter.
