The Bermuda Softball League playoffs continued its high-octane action last night at the Michael Preece Softball Diamond, with three compelling matches providing plenty of runs and excitement.
In the opening game of the evening, the Oddballs delivered a commanding performance, overwhelming the One Hit Wonders with a decisive 32-9 victory. Dustin Luck was the standout at the plate for the Oddballs, going 4 for 5 with a home run and a remarkable seven RBIs. For the One Hit Wonders, Kyle George contributed a home run and four RBIs, going 2 for 3, but his team was simply outmatched by the Oddballs' relentless hitting.
The second game of the night produced a much tighter contest, as Home None edged out the Southampton Rangers in a thrilling 13-12 nail-biter. Matt McPhail was a key figure for Home None, going 3 for 4 with a home run and four RBIs. Despite the loss, Jahmori Beach delivered an explosive performance for the Southampton Rangers, blasting two home runs and driving in five RBIs, going 3 for 4.
The final match of the night saw Bat & Bougie defeat BGA 19-11 in another high-scoring affair. Kamau Leverock led the charge for Bat & Bougie, going 2 for 2 with a home run and four RBIs. For BGA, Kujuan Simons contributed with two RBIs from his 1 for 2 outing.
These results ensure that the Bermuda Softball League playoffs continue to be packed with action and impressive individual performances as teams battle their way through the knockout stages towards the championship.
