Adam Hall was not in the line-up as his Nashville Sounds teammates suffered their second consecutive defeat on their six-game road trip, falling 5-2 to the Baltimore Orioles Triple-A Affiliate, the Norfolk Tides, on Wednesday night.
The Sounds, looking to rebound from their opening game loss, found themselves trailing early as Norfolk jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the bottom of the second inning.
Nashville managed to pull a run back in the top of the third, offering a glimmer of hope. However, Norfolk extended their advantage in the bottom of the fifth with two more runs. The Sounds were only able to add one more run in the eighth inning, ultimately succumbing to a 5-2 defeat.
The loss marks a challenging start to the road trip for the Nashville Sounds, who will be eager to turn their fortunes around in the upcoming games against the Tides.
