The Michael Preece Softball Diamond was once again the scene of a monumental outpouring of runs, as the Bermuda Softball League season continued with three high-scoring encounters.
The evening saw a combined total of 95 runs scored across the triple-header, much to the delight of the fans in attendance.
Bad News Beers Pour It On Against Team Smokey
In the opening game, the Bad News Beers started the evening's run-fest by defeating Team Smokey 23-5, with a total of 28 runs crossing the plate. Conor Lohan was the star for the Bad News Beers, going a perfect 4 for 4 from the plate, including a home run and a remarkable 6 RBIs. Rico Smith contributed significantly for Team Smokey, going 3 for 3 with a double, a home run, and 2 RBIs, but it wasn't enough to stem the tide.
Moongate Brewers Brew Up Big Win Over Kings
The second game produced an even higher tally of 33 runs, as the Moongate Brewers secured a convincing 23-10 victory over the Kings. Gary Adams led the charge for the Brewers, going 4 for 5 from the plate with two home runs and an impressive 7 RBIs. For the Kings, a player went 1 for 4 from the plate with a home run and 3 RBIs, but they were ultimately outmatched by the Brewers' offensive power.
Hakuna Matata Enjoy No Worries in Rout of Beach Bums
The final match of the evening was the highest-scoring of the night, yielding 34 runs, as Hakuna Matata dominated the Beach Bums with a 27-7 victory. Brian Hall delivered an exceptional performance at the plate for Hakuna Matata, going a perfect 5 for 5, including a double, two home runs, and a massive 8 RBIs. Donald Folkard managed a home run and 1 RBI for the Beach Bums, but it was a tough night for their defence.
