Adam Hall played his part as his Nashville Sounds teammates emphatically returned to winning ways with a resounding 11-1 road victory over the Indianapolis Indians at Victory Field.
Trailing 3-1 in the series, the Sounds' offense exploded into life, led by a stellar performance from Wes Clarke. Clarke hit his first multi-home run game of the year and drove in a season-high four RBIs, injecting much-needed momentum into the Sounds as they prepare to return home to First Horizon Park next week.
Hall contributed to the offensive surge, going 2 for 5 from the plate.
His first hit of the afternoon came in the top of the second inning when he singled on a sharp ground ball. In the top of the third, Hall grounded out. He was called out on strikes in the top of the fifth. In the top of the seventh, Hall flew out to right field. However, he finished his afternoon strong at the plate, hitting a sharp line drive for a double to center field in the top of the ninth inning.
The Sounds' dominant performance, spearheaded by Clarke and with contributions from Hall, will be a welcome sight for the team and their fans after a tough series in Indianapolis. They will be hoping to carry this offensive firepower back to their home stadium.
