Hall & Nashville Sounds Fall to Indians

IslandStats.com
Adam Hall and his Nashville Sounds teammates began their six-game road trip with a 2-1 defeat against the Indianapolis Indians on Monday night at Victory Field. Despite a strong pitching performance from Brewers' highly-rated prospect Jacob Misiorowski, who reached a significant individual milestone, the Sounds' offence struggled to capitalize.

Misiorowski, the Sounds' number four-rated prospect, suffered his first loss of the season despite allowing just one earned run on five hits across his four innings of work. He was dominant at times, striking out an impressive eight batters, which propelled him to the top of the Triple-A strikeout leaderboard with a remarkable 71 strikeouts in his first 11 games of the 2025 season.

Indianapolis took an early 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning and added another run in the second, which ultimately proved to be enough for their victory. Misiorowski managed to strand five Indianapolis runners on base during his outing, keeping the Sounds within touching distance. His most dominant inning came in his fourth and final frame, where he struck out all three batters he faced.

Hall, batting in the leadoff position for the Sounds, had a quiet night at the plate, going 0 for 4.

Nashville finally broke the Indians' shutout in the top of the ninth inning with a one-out RBI single from Freddy Zamora. With the bases loaded, the Sounds had a golden opportunity to tie the game or even take the lead, but back-to-back strikeouts by Indianapolis pitcher Kyle Nicolas extinguished those hopes.

Ultimately, the Sounds left a frustrating ten runners on base and struggled with runners in scoring position, going just 1-for-9 in those key situations as they were held to a solitary run. The Indianapolis pitching staff, utilizing five different hurlers, limited Nashville to just six hits, all of which were singles.
