Bermudian harness racing driver Kiwon Waldron experienced a busy night at Harrah's Hoosier Park in Indiana, competing in a total of five races across both the Pace and Trot disciplines. While victory lane eluded him on this occasion, Waldron navigated a demanding schedule with varied outcomes.
His evening began in Race 3, a Pace Class event where Waldron was in the bike of Ecrater. The pair finished in seventh place, clocking a time of 1 minute, 59 and four-fifths of a second (1:59&4).
Waldron's second drive of the night came in Race 5, another contest in the Pace division. This time, he partnered with Six Sticks Of Gum, crossing the finish line in sixth position with a recorded time of 1 minute, 54 and four-fifths of a second (1:54&4).
The middle race of Waldron's quintet saw him switch to the Trot Class for Race 6. He was in the sulky behind Wiggy Hill, and they secured a podium finish, crossing the line in third place with a time of 1 minute, 56 and two-fifths of a second (1:56&2). This represented his best result of the night.
Returning to the Pace Class for Race 9, Waldron drove Firing Onall Fours to a fifth-place finish, stopping the clock in 1 minute, 55 and three-fifths of a second (1:55&3).
Waldron's final drive of the night came in Race 12, another Trot Class event. He partnered with Abc Dream Big, finishing in eighth place with a time of 2 minutes flat (2:00.0).
Competing in five races in a single night, across both gaits, is a testament to Waldron's commitment and stamina on the North American harness racing circuit. While a win wasn't achieved this time, his podium finish with Wiggy Hill will provide encouragement as he continues to compete at Harrah's Hoosier Park.
