Another night of high-scoring action lit up the Michael Preece Softball Diamond in Bermuda, with three contests delivering a combined total of 66 runs for the enthusiastic crowd. Home None set the tone for the evening with a dominant performance, while PHC Zebras edged a close encounter, and Western Stars Angels recorded a resounding shutout.
The opening game saw Home None deliver a decisive 24-6 victory over the Rainbows. Dario Flood was the offensive powerhouse for Home None, enjoying a perfect night at the plate as he went 4 for 4, including a double, a triple, and two towering home runs, driving in an impressive six runs. Teammates Rebecca Schoeler and Jade Weaver also contributed with two hits apiece in their two at-bats, each driving in a run.
The second match of the night proved to be a much tighter affair, with the PHC Zebras narrowly defeating the Southampton Rangers 17-14. Josh Bang was the standout hitter for the PHC Zebras, going 3 for 4 with a triple and a home run, also driving in six runs. For the Southampton Rangers, Shrye Tavares matched Bang's hit tally, going 3 for 4 and hitting a double while driving in five runs. However, the Zebras ultimately held on for the win in a high-scoring battle.
The final game of the evening saw a dominant display from the Western Stars Angels, who shut out the Power Pitches with a resounding 25-0 victory. Rickelle Smith was the star of the show for the Angels, enjoying a perfect night at the plate as she went 4 for 4, smashing two home runs and driving in an incredible ten runs.
The latest round of Bermuda Softball League action showcased some explosive hitting performances, with multiple home runs and high-scoring contests providing plenty of entertainment under the lights at the Michael Preece Softball Diamond.
