Bermudian reinsman Kiwon Waldron experienced a busy night at Harrah's Hoosier Park in Indiana, tackling a trio of races across both the Trot and Pace disciplines. While victory lane eluded him on this occasion, Waldron gained valuable experience on the American circuit.
His evening began in Race 6, a Pace event where Waldron piloted Jk's Flirty Girl. The duo navigated the mile distance in 1:54.0, ultimately finishing in sixth place. While not the result Waldron would have hoped for, the time demonstrates the competitive nature of the field.
Undeterred, Waldron returned to the track for Race 8, another contest in the Pace division. This time, he was aboard Six Sticks Of Gum. They showed promise, crossing the finish line in fifth position with a recorded time of 1:54.4. This represented a slight improvement on his earlier outing, suggesting a growing familiarity with the Hoosier Park track.
Waldron's final commitment of the night came in Race 9, as he switched gears to the slower gait of the Trot. He partnered with Melissa P, facing a different set of challenges and rivals. Despite their best efforts, the pair finished in eighth place, clocking a time of 2:01.3 over the mile.
While a winner's circle appearance wasn't on the cards for Waldron this time, competing in three races in a single night, across different gaits, is a testament to his versatility and commitment.
