The Michael Preece Softball Diamond played host to another evening of action in the Bermuda Softball Association season, featuring a double header that delivered contrasting victories.
The first game of the night saw Home None claim a decisive 18-7 victory over the PHC Zebras. Dario Flood was the standout offensive player for Home None, going 2 for 5 from the plate, including a double and a home run, and driving in three runs (3 RBIs). For the PHC Zebras, Ria Grenardo went 1 for 4, hitting a double and also contributing three RBIs. The result followed a forfeit in the earlier match, setting the stage for Home Nine's strong performance.
The nightcap provided a much closer and higher-scoring affair, with the Angels edging out a narrow 12-11 victory over the Rainbows. Rickelle Smith was instrumental for the Angels, going a perfect 3 for 3 at the plate, including a double and driving in four runs (4 RBIs). Despite Smith's stellar performance, the Rainbows put up a strong fight, with Abigail Kempe also going 3 for 3 and hitting an impressive three doubles while contributing three RBIs. In the end, the Angels managed to hold on for the tight one-run win in an exciting conclusion to the double header.
