The Team Event of the 2010 National Lotteries Authority Caribbean Squash Championships (CASA) got underway in St. Vincent, in an early start Team Bermuda defeating Jamaica 4 – 1.
Chris Stout was the first Bermuda player on the court and he battled to a hard fought 5 game win against the experienced Warren Burrows to give Bermuda a 1 – 0 lead.
Robert Maycock doubled the Bermuda lead with a tight 3 - 1 win against the talented Dane Schwier.
Jamaican number 1 Chris Binnie was next on and defeated Bermuda’s Champion Patrick Foster in 3 straight sets giving Jamaica a glimmer of hope however it was not to last long as Micah Franklin defeated Joey Levy 3 – 0 and Nick Kyme dispatched Bruce Burrows by the same score to give Bermuda a great start to the team event.
