Warwick Football Academy Heading to Texas International Cup

The Warwick Football Academy (WFA) Under 16 Boys have been invited to participate in the inaugural Texas International Cup tournament in Arlington, Texas from June 27th – 30th, 2024.
The tournament will feature a high level of competitive teams for boys age groups from U9-U19. Attending will be LigaMX Academies & teams from Mexico, as well as top teams and clubs from throughout the US.
The tournament will be played during the Copa America, with Arlington a host city for games. As a part of the tournament teams will be able to attend Copa America watch parties at the Texas Live entertainment venue.
Matches will be played at the Harold Patterson Sports Center.
The WFA team will visit college campuses during the tour and meet with coaches from top collegiate soccer programs in the greater Dallas area.
The team will be led and coached by WFA Technical Director Richard Todd.
The invite to attend the tournament was extended through the network of contacts and partner programs that WFA works with to help provide development opportunities and experiences for our players.

Minister Extends Congratulations to Kappa Classic Organizers
“The Kappa Classic is more than just a tournament; it’s a platform for our youth to shine and develop not only their athletic skills but also their teamwork and leadership qualities,” said Minister of Tourism, Culture and Sport, Senator Owen Darrell, JP.
The Ministry of Tourism, Culture, and Sport proudly celebrates the conclusion of this year’s Kappa Classic, held at the National Sports Center over the weekend.
As Bermuda’s largest youth football tournament, the Kappa Classic brought together numerous young athletes and teams across the Island, showcasing their talents and passion for the sport.
Minister Darrell, who attended the tournament over the weekend, added, “I am incredibly proud of all the participants and grateful for the opportunity to support such an important event alongside Premier David Burt.
“I was grateful to be able to personally witness moments of intense action, teamwork, and the celebration of sport that are central to the Kappa Classic’s mission of fostering youth development through sports.”
The Ministry thanks all organizers, volunteers, and participants for their dedication and looks forward to continued success in future tournaments.”
