The Pan American Women’s Challenge continued at the National Sports Center with a double header.
Both matches ended in draws, with two teams Brazil, and the host Bermuda earning their first points of tournament.
Brazil 0 Paraguay 0
Brazil would pick up their first point of the tournament,, while Paraguay picked up their fifth following a 0 - 0 draw in the first match of the day.
Guyana 1 Bermuda 1
On another Bermudaful evening the host Bermuda Women’s National Field Hockey team stepped onto the pristine turf. The air hummed with anticipation a duel against Guyana awaited, in a contest that would echo across the stadium.
As the clock ticked into the 10th minute, Guyana seized the initiative. Sarah Klautky, their nimble forward, positioned herself for a Penalty Corner. Klautky’s strike was clinical and the ball arrowed into the net to give Guyana the lead 1 - 0.
But Bermuda, fueled by pride and with the home crowd, encouraging them, they would get the equalizer. In the 30th minute, Georgia Harris found herself in the right place at the right time. Her stick met the ball, and the net rippled. The cheers erupted, echoing through the stands. Bermuda had broken their goal drought.
The remainder of the match unfolded like a chess game as both teams probed, seeking openings. The midfield battles were fierce, sticks clashing, determination etched on every face. But destiny remained elusive. The final whistle blew—a shared point, a testament to their parity.
Neither Bermuda nor Guyana could break the deadlock. The players exchanged handshakes, acknowledging the battle fought.
