The Pembroke Pirates held a 2 – 1 lead at the end of the First Period, they got 2 goals from Jeff Ingleman, while Pete Brodsky scored the lone goal for the Hamilton Hurricanes.
The Hamilton Hurricanes would score five unanswered goals in the Second Period to take a 6 – 2 lead. Brodsky would score twice to complete his hat-trick, while Chris Jackson also added two goals, and Derek Winch added the other.
