The Pembroke Pirates held a 2 – 1 lead at the end of the First Period, they got 2 goals from Jeff Ingleman, while Pete Brodsky scored the lone goal for the Hamilton Hurricanes.
The Hamilton Hurricanes would score five unanswered goals in the Second Period to take a 6 – 2 lead. Brodsky would score twice to complete his hat-trick, while Chris Jackson also added two goals, and Derek Winch added the other.
Pembroke Pirates would score four times in the Third Period, while Hamilton Hurricanes scored twice, Ingleman scored 4 times in the period to take his tally to 6 for the game, while Winch scored his second goal of the game, and Jackson added his third for the Pembroke Pirates.
