Isabella Boonstra and her No. 18th ranked Babson College teammates scored three times over the opening 4:07 of the third quarter on the way to defeating Smith College, 4-1, in New England Women's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Field Hockey action.
Winners of seven consecutive games, Babson improves to 12-3 overall and 6-0 in league play, while Smith dips to 3-11 overall and 1-4 in the NEWMAC with its fifth straight loss.
Junior Maddy Paro scored twice and senior Tori Roche and sophomore Lauren Curley chipped in with a goal apiece for the Beavers. Senior Kate Driscoll and junior Ellie Bisceglia each contributed an assist, while sophomore goalkeeper Cassidy Riley made two saves in the win.
