League leaders Winnipeg Jets needed a shootout to defeat 6th place Edmonton Oilers 7 – 6.
Jeremy Estey would lead the way with for the Winnipeg Jets with a hat-trick, while Shane Matchett added 2 goals and Matt Benson scored once, with Matt Katzsch scoring the all-important Shootout goal.
Jeffrey Ingelman scored a hat-trick for the Edmonton Oilers, while Simon Pierre Bilodeau, Adam Mattatall and Chad Cundliffe all added a goal each.
Vancouver Canucks 4 Ottawa Senators 1
